The first thing we need to realize is that you and I are sinners. We fall short of being a good person, least of all Godly. Jesus Christ Came into this world to pay our sin debt in full. Repenting of your sins means to turn away from them. To do that we need to realize that we have sinned and say we are sorry to God. He wants us to be changed from our sinful nature into the nature of His Son, Jesus Christ. To do that we need to realize we sin and confess them to God. Becoming one of God’s children, a Christian, is not just going to church and believing in a religion. It is having a daily relationship with our Creator, God the Father, through His Son Jesus. If you want to start this wonderful journey of a relationship with God today, then pray this prayer:

Lord Jesus, I humble myself before you, and ask you to forgive me of my sins. To wash me clean with Your blood that was shed on the cross for me. I ask you, Lord Jesus, to come into my life to be my Savior and my Lord. I believe that you are the One and Only Son of God and that you alone can reconcile me to the Father. Thank you for coming into my life. Change me daily into the person God the Father created me to be. I give you my life. In your Holy name, Jesus, I pray.
