Love Beyond Borders Mission Trip to Nepal 2017 – Clean drinking water for multiple communities!

Love Beyond Borders Mission Trip to Nepal 2017

Back in September, Acacia Worship Center announced our goal to purchase 100 water filters for distribution during our mission trip to Nepal.  Thank you to everyone who responded so generously to help sponsor the purchase of these water filters at $42.75 each.  Praise God, we accomplished our goal!  Twenty five filters were installed in the homeless camp of villagers near Hetauda and the remaining 75 filters were distributed evenly to the three churches in Hetauda, Kathmandu, and Damak.  The churches have been tasked with installing the filters throughout each of their regions so that whole communities of people can benefit from this valuable resource.  We chose to provide clean drinking water as a renewable and long lasting resource to have the most impact on the daily lives and health of the people.  The filters that we are providing can filter up to 540 gallons per day for up to 72 years!  How exciting to know that we are making a difference for the health of the people that will last longer on this earth than we will!  Part of spreading the good news of the Gospel is to show the love of Christ by filling physical needs such as food and water along with the spiritual, just as Christ exampled and instructed us to do.  With so many references to water in the Bible, we would like to share what Jesus so eloquently said about being our source of living water (below).

Thank you for your support and sharing in our journey to do God’s work in Nepal!
